Alpha creates a safe space where people can ask questions about God and feel heard.

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life’s big questions together in an open, informal setting. Each video talk looks at a different question around the Christian faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run UK and world-wide, online, and in person. It’s free and everyone is welcome.

In 2024, 2.1 million people world-wide experienced Alpha. That’s 81,000 courses in over 146 countries. 8,000 courses were run in the UK.

WHO IS ALPHA FOR?

Alpha is for anyone who wants to investigate Christianity, for new Christians, and for people who want to reconnect with God.

Alpha is a free course run over 11 weeks looking at topics such as 'Who is Jesus?', 'How do I have faith?' and 'Why read the Bible?

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Meet new people in your area. Grab some free food and get to know each other in a friendly and informal setting.

Watch a talk that unpacks a big question around life, purpose, and the Christian faith. Talks last around 30 minutes.

See what you think. Have an open conversation about it. Share your thoughts if you want to, and hear what others think. Be as open and as honest as you like.

ALPHA IN A FEW WORDS

WHERE AND WHEN?

Our next Alpha begins on Tuesday 30th September 2025 for 11 weeks. We meet in-person, starting with some hot food at 6.30pm followed by the Alpha session talk and discussion. We aim to finish by 8.30pm.

We meet at the King’s Family Church, Derbyshire Lane, Hucknall, NG15 7JX. Parking is free in Piggins Croft Carpark (off Yorke Street) after 6pm.
