All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. Acts 2:42 NLT
SUNDAYS - WHAT TO EXPECT
Our main Sunday service starts at 10:30am
-
If you are joining us on Sunday for the first time, you are very welcome. Doors open around 10am for a 10.30am start, so why not join us early for a cup of tea or coffee and a catch-up before the service. The service ends around 12.15pm.
-
During our services, we like to worship God through singing, prayer and testimonies (stories of the good things God has done or is teaching us). We take communion most weeks so if you love Jesus and want to participate, you’re welcome to join in this part of the service. Our sermons (talks) last between 30 and 40 minutes. Each sermon is designed to help us to grow in our faith and to follow Jesus.
We want you to feel at home in our Sunday Service, so please take part as much or as little as feels comfortable.
-
Our prayer and pastoral team are also available after the service if you would like someone to talk to or pray with.
-
We have a relaxed dress code here at The King's Family Church, so don't worry about needing to dress to impress - wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
-
Coming to church for the first time can be a bit daunting, but we want you to feel as comfortable as possible while you're here. Our Welcome Team will be the first to greet you at the door so if you have any questions, do ask.
-
It’s also important for younger children and young people to have fun and learn about Jesus in an age appropriates way. We do this through our children’s ministry which takes place during the sermon.
If you’re attending for the first time and have children with you, do ask one of the Welcome Team to tell you more about the children’s activities, creche and baby changing facilities.
-
After the service ends you are welcome to stay and have refreshments, get to know us, and ask questions.
-
Although we tend not to make a fuss about giving during our service, many of our regular attenders like to financially support the church. If you're a visitor with us, please don’t feel that you have to give. However, if you want to make a financial donation, you are welcome to. For more information on ways you can give, visit our Giving Page.
